Our World Cultures classes had a truly "once in a lifetime" experience this week! Mrs. Bondoni’s students hosted 13 young ladies from Hiroshima Jogakuin Senior High School in Japan for a special cultural exchange lunch.
Our students sat in groups to share a meal and bridge the gap between our two cultures. From Minerva to Japan, here is what they discovered:
🏈 The American Side: Our students shared the excitement of Friday Night Lights, American snacks, social media, and even the art of the perfect paper airplane!
🍜 The Japanese Side: Our guests taught us about the best ramen, Japanese cinema, and their favorite experiences in Ohio so far.
🍬 The Highlights: Minerva students learned to fold intricate origami figures and were gifted some famous Japanese treats (the strawberry Kit-Kats were a huge hit!).
The connection was so strong that we’ve already been asked to host again next year! A huge thank you to our administration and community for supporting these global opportunities for our students. 🦁✨
Wishing all our Lions a relaxing and safe Spring Break!
